DESCRIPTION: Boat Steering Kit Helm + Cable Rack/Pinion System
FEATURES & ATRIBUTES:
- The Racktech package is an ideal replacement system for ski boats, power assisted sterndrives and other applications of minimal rudder torque.
- Featuring a stainless flat wrap cable, this system delivers smooth steering with minimal lost motion.
- 3.5 turns lock-to-lock.
- Suitable replacement for all rack and rotary applications where rudder torque is minimal.
INCLUDES:
M86 - preassembled helm with steering cable
G86 - shaft assembly
X34 - 90 Degree bezel
HOW TO MEASURE CABLE:
- Replacement of Existing Cable:
If possible, find the part number stamped on the plastic jacket of the old cable. If you removed the old cable, measure for the replacement cable as follows:
- For Rotary Steering Cable Replacement:
Measure existing cable as follows: Measure plastic cable jacket (“Y” dimension, shown in above drawing) in inches, add 18” and round up to the next foot. Order that length cable.
- For Rack Steering Cable Replacement:
Measure existing cable as follows: Measure plastic cable jacket (“Y” dimension shown in above drawing) in inches, add 30” and round up to the next foot. Order that length cable.
