It fits MOST but maybe NOT all 135 to 225 HP engines.

APPLICATION RATION FOR 2.0, 2.4, AND 2.5 Liter engines:
- Most 135-150HP uses 2:1 gear ratio, gear Teeth Count: 14/28
- Most 175-200-225 HP uses1.87:1 gear ratio, gear Teeth Count: 15/28
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
- Fits 20" or 25" midsections.
- 23" from top of the drive shaft to the mounting surface (top of housing) for 20" exhaust or midsection
- 28" from top of the drive shaft to the mounting surface (top of housing) for 25" exhaust or midsectio
- 15 spline propeller shaft for 15 spline propellers.
- 8 splines driveshaft
- Bullet diameter 4-3/4"
IMPORTANT APPLICATION NOTES:
- Replaces MOST but maybe not all, Mercury 2.0, 2.4 and 2.5 liter V6 Engines 135hp to 225hp
- No available with the optional 2.3:1 high altitude gear set.
- Not designed to replace Sport Master, Torque Master, CLE or other high performance gearcases
- 25" transom models 1988 and older use a five inch spacer between a standard 20" midsection and lower unit. Longer mounting studs were installed into those gearcases. The lower unit does not come with the longer studs. The old studs must be reused or new ones sourced elsewhere.
- Please note these models use a plastic water pump.
- You must verify your Gear Ratio.
- Comes with water pump, but NO oil.
