Product Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING
It fits MOST but maybe NOT all 200-225-250 HP engines from 1994 to 2006.
It fits Mercury Optimax and EFI
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
- 15 spline propeller shaft for 15 spline propellers.
- Upper Driveshaft: SHORT 9-1/4" with 13 splines to de used on Inboard/Outboard (stendrive).
- Upper Driveshaft. You can add a coupler and a stub shaft (driveshaft extension) to make it longer and to be usde on Outboard engines 20", 25" or 30"
DETERMINE SHAFT LENGTH
Measure from the top of the drive shaft to the top of the aluminum housing or the mounting surface:
- 20" midsection model. 23" top of drive shaft to top of mounting surface
- 25" midsection model. 28" top of drive shaft to top of mounting surface
- 30" midsection model. 33" top of drive shaft to top of mounting surface
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT DRIVE SHAFT WITH 8 SPLINES:
You will need to buy the coupler or stub shaft and an upper driveshaft extension. We can also sell it, if available. Below is the Kit or extension Part Number:
For 20" midsection Mercury PN: 45-824114A 1
For 25" midsection Mercury PN: 45-823901A 1
For 30" midsection Mercury PN: 45-824115A 1
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT GEAR RATIO:
- 3.0 liter engines uses 2 gear ratio: 1.62:1 or 1.75:1
- Gear ratio 1.87:1 is NOT available in 3.0 liter lower uniits
PLEASE SEND US YOUR ENGINE MODEL NUMBER, SERIAL NUMBER, AND YOUR GEAR RATIO. WITH THAT INFO WE CAN SHIP THE RIGHT LOWER UNIT.
